The Gas Appliances Regulation 2016/426/EU (GAR) establishes the legal framework governing gas appliances in EU Member States. Purpose of the Regulation The Directive 2016/426/EU on Gas Appliances was created to ensure the safety, energy efficiency and environmental compatibility of gas appliances. Scope of the Regulation Directive 2016/426/EU covers the safety, performance and energy efficiency of gas-burning appliances and related equipment.
