Visitors from 60 countries rushed to buy Turkish kitchenware

Turkey, which is in the top three of Europe’s industrial kitchen sector, united the buyers with the biggest companies in İstanbul.


800 manufacturers who operate in the field of Hotel, Restaurant, Cafe, Patisserie Equipment came together with the buying committee from 60 countries at HOSTECH by TUSID.


The exhibition welcomed over 60 thousand visitors, gaining great attention from foreign industry professionals and signing million dollar export deals.


HOSTECH by TUSID, one of the two biggest trade shows on hotel, restaurant, gastronomy and kitchen equipment in the world was held between the dates of October 24-28 at CNR EXPO Yeşilköy.


Buying committees from 60 different countries participated in the exhibition organized by İstanbul Fuarcılık, a CNR Holding subsidiary, in cooperation with TUSID – Turkish Food Service, Laundry & Service Equipment Manufacturers, and Businessmen Association, and visitor numbers reached 60 thousand. 800 companies exhibited at the event including the leading companies of Turkey as well as the most prominent manufacturers of the world. 


Hotel professionals, industrial food manufacturers, patisserie managers, dry cleaning and coffee shop managers, cafe and bar managers represented the industry at the exhibition, displaying their products at 80 thousand sqm.


B2B pairing program which took place on the first two days of the exhibition, organizing the exhibitors according to their products and matching them with international buying committees.


Great interest in Turkish products


Istanbul Ferrous And Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association (İDDMİB) and Öztiryakiler Industrial Kitchen Executive Board Member Chairman Tahsin Öztiryaki expressed their thoughts about the exhibition, saying that there was a great interest in HOSTECH by TUSİD from foreign buyers.


Öztiryaki added that all the exhibition halls were full, estimating that nearly 100 million dollars worth export connections were made at the event. Öztiryaki said they invited visitors from their network, with the support of the Ministry of Trade.
